Here at CHERRYCROFT BEAUTY ROOMS we only use NSI Nail Liquids,
NSI Liquids DO NOT contain MMA (Methyl Methacrylate).
There are more and more Salons moving into the UK offering Cheep inferior Acrylic Nails containing MMA since
it was prohibited in 20 States in the US, Canada and New Zealand.

MMA information
Please think of your Health & Safety and take note of the following information
and be careful which Salons you use, if you are in any doubt then give them a miss for your own sake.
MMA Should NOT be used in Artificial Nail Liquids, MMA is a Monomar and has been tested and found to be poisonous.
Repeated use of MMA Monomers can cause irritation to the Skin, Eyes, Nose, Throat & Lungs these are only a few of the problems that can occur with the use of MMA Acrylic Liquid.
Acrylic Powders contain MMA but these are perfectly safe to use, it is only a problem when the MMA is in liquid form
When MMA Acrylic sets it is very rigid, a nail enhancement without flexibility is potentially very dangerous when knocked and can cause serious, permanent damage to the natural nail plate.
MMA does not adhere well to the natural nail plate, therefore the nail plate has to be roughed up, often with a course electric file to make the acrylic stick but at the same time this weakens the nail plate and allows the harmful chemicals to enter your system
It is only possible (but not safe) to remove MMA nails with and electric file.
It is also not safe to expose the hand in Acetone for the length of time
required (approx 2 hours) to soak off MMA Nails.
DO NOT allow anyone including a Nail technician to remove MMA Nails by trying to break or pry the nails off, this will cause extreme permanent damage to the Natural Nail plate, not to mention severe pain.
How to recognise when a Salon may be using MMA
* Technicians usually wear masks, but some non-MMA users may also wear them.
* Very cheap priced nails that are applied quickly, a good technician using EMA will usually take between approximately 75 to 90 mins
* MMA has a very strong unusual odour
* Products may be in an unlabeled container, usually refilled from large bulk bought MMA product and the technician may have no knowledge of the products they are using, which can have up to 90% MMA content.
* Nails may appear milky or cloudy when set
* MMA nails are extremely hard and cannot be filed or soaked off
If staff in a Salon that are using MMA are wearing a mask for their safety and the client does not, then certainly the client is at risk of exposure to MMA

Proof of D.O.B Required
This is the important bit, without it you tan may not develop properly. Or may not last as long as you desire.
Wax or Shave at least 24 hours prior to application.
Exfoliate before treatment and if possible for a few days before for a longer lasting Tan.
Avoid bath or shower gels that contain oils or moisturisers.
Do not apply deodorant, moisturisers, perfumes or make-up.
Remove all jewellery
Wear your hair up, and ensure its dry. Wet hair can drip onto your Tan.
Wear old underwear. If you want we can provide disposable undies.
After Care
Make sure you see us less by following the after care below. Whilst most clients prefer to have a weekly tan for some that is not financially viable, but following the instructions below will help your tan stay looking great for up to 10-14 days.
Wear loose dark clothing (or if at home nothing at all) for at least 4 hours after the tan.
Avoid wearing a bra as the tan will rub of on the straps and cause the tan to streak.
Do not rub or scratch the body as this can also remove the tan whilst its developing.
Avoid perspiring, so here is your excuse for no exercise and no housework!
If its a hot day apply talc to your dry tan to areas your prone to sweating.
Do not apply any moisturisers, make up, perfume or deodorants until you have showered.
Avoid getting any water in the tan until your first shower.
Avoid sitting on leather or light coloured furniture, cover them with a towel first.
If you are sleeping in your tan before the first wash sleep in a single bed cover.
Wait at least 8-10 hours before your first shower. The longer the better!
Do two washes in the shower to remove the bronzer properly.
Use soaps with a PH Balance of 5.5% or lower to prevent fading the tan.
Avoid any moisturiser that contain Glycolic Acids or Sodium Sulphate.
Don't use hair removal creams as they promote exfoliation.
If you need to shave, shave lightly over the skin to prevent removing the tan.
Try to avoid long hot baths and showers.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms and chlorinated pools as these speed up the fading.
After a bath or shower pat your skin dry with a towel and apply Tan Extender.
Wear an SPF of no less than 15 when you go outside.
After 3-5 days you may see the tan fade in areas. Now you can gently exfoliate to
remove dead skin cell build up. Apply Tan Extender to help your tan fade more
evenly and more slowly.
"The longer before your first shower and the more moisturiser and Tan Extender you apply daily the longer the tan will last and the better the tan will look."
